In 1909 the V-Twin® was introduced, and it fast became an enduring icon. One year later, another icon was born in the shape of the Bar and Shield® logo. By 1920 Harley-Davidson had become the largest motorcycle manufacturer in the world.
In 1983 the Harley Owners Group (H.O.G.) was introduced and immediately became the largest factory-sponsored motorcycle club in the world.
Today Harley-Davidson operates in more than 100 countries worldwide. The legend lives on in the form of innovative and technologically-advanced motorcycles, retro styling and unlimited customisation.
Motorcycles are only part of the Harley experience. The classically-styled black leather motorcycle jacket – first introduced in 1947 – is now part of a wide range of MotorClothes® catering for all tastes.

The first-ever Buell® motorcycle was produced in 1983 by Erik Buell. His charismatic and innovative ideas still to this day make the Buell Motorcycles different from all the rest.
During 1987-88 Erik went on to develop a total of 50 motorcycles under the name of the Buell Motor Company. In 1991, the motorcycle manufacturer’s capabilities where expanded. Buell not only designed the bodywork of its models, but also produced them.
In 1993, Harley-Davidson inc. became a minority partner in Erik’s company and the name was changed to the Buell Motorcycle Company. In 2003 Buell introduced an engine so efficient it passes emissions test requirements year on year. The motorcycle manufacture also incorporates the brand’s Trilogy of Technology into all models – mass centralisation, low unsprung weight, and frame rigidity.
Today the Buell Motorcycle Company produces premium sport performance motorcycles, motorcycle parts, accessories and MotoClothes. The design of these items focuses on good handling, comfortable riding, easy maintenance, quality and innovation.
